Louis Vuitton has added a new timepiece to its Tambour line, which debuted back in 2002 to launch the brand’s in-house watchmaking efforts. The latest to join the collection is the Tambour Street Diver which reimagines the dive watch as a more sporty, colorful timepiece, contrasting the usual utilitarian and formal look of traditional diver’s watches. We got a sneak peek of the watch back in February on the hand of first-time Golden Globes nominee Tahar Rahim, who was sporting the watch during the virtual awards ceremony. The newest model continues to use the Tambour’s signature sloping drum-inspired case and other distinctive design elements. The twelve letters of ‘Louis Vuitton’ are prominently engraved on the case-band, while both the screw-down crowns feature the same semi-conical shape of the central case. The Tambour Street Diver timepiece has been introduced in three interesting colorways. The first of them is the Louis Vuitton Tambour Street Diver Black Blaze, which gets a black PVD stainless steel central case with pink gold along with the tall outer bezel. The next is the Tambour Street Diver Neon Black that gets the most striking color scheme. It features a full black PVD stainless steel central case complemented by polished stainless for the main crown and lugs, which is contrasted with neon yellow elements. Finally, the Louis Vuitton Tambour Street Diver Skyline Blue has a matte-navy PVD mid-case with polished stainless steel lugs, bezel, and main crown, and light blue accents. The 44mm case houses an automatic movement, which LV hasn’t released any information about. But it can be a derivative of one of the movements found in the Tambour models. However, the watch offers 100 meters of water resistance, which is not as impressive as the depth-rating of hardcore dive watches. As for the pricing, the Louis Vuitton Tambour Street Diver Black is priced at $16,400, while the Tambour Street Diver Neon Black and the Tambour Street Diver Skyline Blue carry a sticker price of $7,100.
